The Contemporary Art Music Project is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization that promotes innovative art music by collaborating with living composers and performing artists from around the world.

Eunmi Ko
Hailed as “exceedingly interesting” (New York Concert Review) and “kaleidoscopic” (San Francisco Classical Voice), pianist Eunmi Ko concertizes as a recitalist and chamber musician throughout Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
As a sought-after collaborator and champion of new music, she works with contemporary composers, ensembles, and performers from around the world.
Secretary/Director of Percussion
Kevin von Kampen
Kevin von Kampen is an active percussionist and educator based in Tampa, FL. He is currently on the music faculty at the University of South Florida teaching percussion. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Cincinnati College – Conservatory of Music, a Master of Music in Percussion Performance from the University of South Florida, and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.

Katherine Weintraub
Praised for musical sensitivity and technical brilliance Katherine Weintraub is a decorated performer and passionate educator. Dr. Weintraub champions the standard repertoire of the saxophone in addition to contemporary music and creative transcriptions of borrowed works.
Dr. Weintraub holds her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of Michigan and her Doctorate of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music. She is on the music faculty at the University of South Florida.

Stephen Miles
Stephen Miles is Professor Emeritus of Music at New College of Florida, where he served as Provost and Vice-President for Academic Affairs from 2011 to 2017. He is the Founding Director of New Music New College, which for 24 years served as a laboratory for interdisciplinary research and a forum for the presentation of contemporary music, connecting New College to the local community. As a composer, Miles has focused on experimental music for voice. Major compositions include Social Studies (2003), a collection of musical games for vocal performers and audience, and Living and Dead: The Gettysburg Project (2009, revised 2020), a full-length theatrical work, co-created with choreographer Margaret Eginton, which combines movement, text, and extended vocal techniques. As a theorist, Miles presents regularly at the annual conference on Social Theory, Politics, and the Arts, and has published articles in such journals as Perspectives of New Music, TDR: The Drama Review, and Music and Arts in Action. Previous board leadership includes two years as Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of the American Composers Forum (2020-2022) and three years as Chair of the Editorial Advisory Board of the University Press of Florida (2013-16). Miles currently serves on the board of ensembleNEWSRQ.

Indigo Knecht
Indigo Knecht is a composer, tubist, and educator fascinated with the challenges people face as they navigate this world. Through a synthesis of contemporary classical music and rock & roll, Indigo explores themes such as environmentalism, mental illness, and self-realization.
Indigo has a BM in Composition from Bowling Green State University and a MM in Composition from University of Michigan. They are currently in their third year at University of Miami pursuing a DMA in Composition under the guidance of Dr. Dorothy Hindman. Their multimedia installation, "The Chanting of Coral Reefs: Bringing Awareness to the Endangerment of Coral Reefs Through the Sonification of Settling Larvae," received the 2024 Presser Foundation Graduate Award, with the premiere set for April 2025. After graduating in May 2025, Indigo intends on teaching music theory and composition at the university level while continuing to develop expansive compositions that bring awareness to issues in our world with groundbreaking technology.
